The Problem & Solution
When this project started, Griddy was using a broken design system and confusing messaging that created an unpleasant experience across the website, app, and marketing materials. As a result, current members were uneducated on the Griddy product and service, which in turn began affecting user acquisition goals.
The website was redesigned and built in a responsive format to increase visibility across all devices. The messaging was restructured and tested for optimal placement and engagement. Lastly, an entirely new design system was created to help maintain consistency and accuracy across all communication channels.
The Process
The very first step I took with this project was conducting a design audit of the existing website, mobile app, and marketing materials. After the audit was complete I sat down with the team to review the goals of the redesign and how those goals align with the product and brand. Next, I created a framework to help guide the new design system into something scalable. Wireframes were created and iterated upon to show project stakeholders how the system functions and how it could evolve based on testing and user feedback.
